“Praise the Lord Everybody”
Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
Psalm 150:1
This was a song commonly sung in our church. In my opinion, it was an anthem to focus everyone’s attention on what really mattered. This song reminded us of God’s commandment to praise Him. He is certainly worthy of the praise. Despite what happened that day, or year, God was deserving of every ounce of praise.
What has your attention now? What are you thinking about? Take a moment to disrupt those troubling thoughts and think about Jesus and what He has done for you this week. It could have been… It should have been… But, God…
PRAYER: Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen
