“The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.”

Proverbs 29:7

To summarize our week, we have demonstrated God’s advocacy through the work of the Son and the Holy Spirit. Finally, we discussed our mandate to advocate for the needy and poor.

As we close this week, we want to remember that advocacy is not just a command, but it demonstrates that we belong to God. The scripture above says that the righteous care about justice, but the wicked don’t have the same concern.

Today and all the days to follow, show the family resemblance as you care those who are unable to care for themselves. Choose a charity to support or go and help a neighbor who has been struggling. It’s the way we demonstrate that we are God’s disciples. It is the way we show God’s love.

PRAYER: Jesus, show me what I can do to help Your cause on the earth. Open my eyes to see the pain and suffering of others. Open my ears to hear their concerns. Give me the grace to help. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
