Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
1 Peter 5:8
Some of us are afraid to engage in spiritual warfare. We see the enemy as some big monster with a pitchfork and horns ready to do battle with us. We think that if we engage in spiritual warfare, that we will provoke the enemy to make war with us, putting us at greater risk for spiritual attacks.
The Word of the Lord declares that the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Are we going to let the enemy just have his way with us, or will we use the strategies outlined in the Word of God to be victorious?
PRAYER: I admit that I have been afraid to engage in spiritual warfare, thinking that I may get hurt in the process. This scripture reminds me that the enemy is looking for someone to devour. Give me the strategies and strength to always be on guard, ready to engage the enemy in battle.
