So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.
Ezekiel 37: 7-8
Revival can be a process. The Word of the Lord says that Ezekiel was obedient to the Lord and prophesied as he was commanded. Now, it is important to know that the change did not occur immediately. There was a process. First of all, there was a noise, and then the bones began to come together. After that, sinews and flesh came over the bones, and the skin eventually covered it all.
Many of us STOP prophesying, because we do not see the evidence of our words right away. We think that it is a magical bullet. We speak the Word, and it happens.
Most times, it is a process. I remember when I was sick with leukemia, nothing happened right away. There were small victories. Each “noise” and “rattle” was celebrated, because it would ultimately end in healing at the end.
Today, remember that it is a process, and also do not forget to pay attention to what God is doing around you. Open your eyes. You just might see flesh on those bones. It might not look like what you expect…right now. But give God space and time to do it. No, this is no miracle formula. EVERYTHING is subject to the will and wisdom of God, but many of us have dead things and circumstances around us that God wants to revive.
PROPHESY: Lord, I speak to the life of my brother or sister reading this today. I prophesy life in their bones, joints, and marrows. According to Isaiah 57:15, God will revive those of us with a lowly and contrite spirit. According to Psalm 85:6, God will revive us so that you may rejoice in Him. Psalm 80:18 also declares that God will not turn us away. He will revive us, and we will call upon His name.
